American Idol results were coming in over the next hour and Gambling911.com is here live with who got voted off and who is safe for another week.  Carrie Stroup has the night off.  This is Jordan Bach reporting.

Heading into Thursday night’s results show it appeared as if Syesha Mercado and Carly Smithson were the most likely to be going home after preliminary numbers.  Also likely to appear in the bottom three: David Cook or Michael Johns.

Surprisingly, despite a somewhat lackluster performance, and one that none of us here at Gambling911.com can even remember - Brooke White did not appear to have the lowest vote count nor did it seem she would be among the bottom three.  But anything is possible.

The only safe Idols for sure seemed to be David Archuleta - with the most votes, Jason Castro and Kristy Lee Cook, who had her best performance of the season this week. 

This week’s Results Show was coming a day later as a result of Idol Gives Back being broadcast Wednesday night.  Over $60 million was raised heading into Thursday night’s Results Show and money was still being raised.

For some reason, I like American Idol, but it took me long enough to warm up to the show — just started watching it regularly last season.

Tonight was the elimination segment, from 9 down to 8. They’ve been doing the music of Dolly Parton, which I thought I would not prefer, but wound up enjoying a lot of it very much.

For entertainment, a band played “This Little Light of Mine,” and Dolly sang “Jesus and Gravity.”

Unashamedly lifting up the name of Jesus on that show.

I have no clue as to the faith of the participants of this season, but hearing the spiritual songs made my heart very heavy with compassion for all of them, and Lord, please remind me to pray for them, too.

(S07E27) Was Dolly’s appearance as big as we all hoped? Are this year’s mentors hit or miss? Did anyone do a great job last night? And most importanly, who’s going home? Tonight’s live chat of the American Idol results show will start shortly before 9pm ET. Check out the Ford commercial and see if Dolly’s still got it herself as a performer (my guess is yes).. And see if America got it right … or if Kristy Lee is still alive … again.

Once again, it’s time to narrow the field and send a singer on his or her way back home. Those who weighed in on our website mostly agreed that the unlucky Idol would be Ramiele or Jason (right). Were we right?

Los Angeles — U.S. actress Morgan Fairchild, whose mother suffered a series of strokes before she died, is campaigning to raise awareness about warning signs of stroke.

Fairchild, who is featured in the “Give Me 5: Walk, Talk, Reach, See, Feel” campaign, is emphasizing the importance of getting to the emergency room quickly once symptoms present themselves. The campaign is a collaboration among the American Academy of Neurology, the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Stroke Association.

Fairchild was a caregiver for her mother, who died in 1999.

“I witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of stroke on my mother,” Fairchild said in a statement. “Stroke is a killer, but for too many people it doesn’t need to be. If you know the warning signs and get medical help right away, you have an excellent chance of making a good recovery.”

The phrase “Give Me 5″ refers to the series of questions one can ask when assessing if someone might be having a stroke: Is one’s balance off? Is speech slurred or the face drooping? Is one side weak or numb? Is there any loss of vision? Is there a severe headache?

Ramiele Malubay was (finally) voted off “American Idol” tonight.

Ramiele was in the bottom 3 with Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White. Brooke was sent to safety first.
